 DIY Repurpose Old Stretchy Skirt to:

1.    Horizontal (Crop Top)

2.    Vertical (Cowl Neck/Hoodie Top)

 

1.    Horizontal (Crop Top): turn the skirt horizontally cut a hole enough to fit the neck and the waist at the center of the two opposite sides of the skirt, remember it’s a stretchy skirt so don’t cut it too wide. When you wear it, it will look like a crop top with buba hand because the original waistline and the Hemline part of the skirt will turn to sleeves, so it will give us (wide sleeves.)

2.    Vertical (Cowl Neck/Hoodie Top): leave the skirt in its original vertical form, so that the hole i cut in the Horizontal (Crop Top) representing neck and the waist automatically become my arm hole. But I have to hem it up to reduce the wideness of the armhole

this will look like a Cowl Neck/Hoodie kind of top

you can even add sleeves to it

good for harmattan and raining season.

 

Question: why do these ?

Answer: why trash it when you can recycle it?

How the song was born: In the years 2020 before the lock down I slept and dream I saw some Yoruba cultural Troups beaten a long drum and singing this song; when I woke up though I usually forgets songs from the dream, but I remember, so I quickly recorded it on my phone.
